Our quality procedures are approved to ISO 9001 standards and we hold approvals for numerous institutions, organisations and 3rd party assurance bodies.
Our technical and laboratory teams include fully trained and qualified metallurgists who are responsible for material analysis of our own alloying processes or to check certified melt stock. This ensures that all material meets not only the chemical requirements of our customers’ orders but also provides traceability through to the furnace batch itself. All melts are given their own unique melt number and records are kept by our quality department.

Spunalloys benefits from a suite of 13 different-sized induction furnaces dedicated to a wide range of heat, wear and corrosion-resistant alloys.
In fact, over 250 alloys are routinely produced encompassing all the short-freezing alloys from nickel aluminium bronze, cupro nickel, Monel and duplex and super duplex steels, and all the long-freezing alloys from phosphor bronze, tin bronze and gunmetal. Cast iron is also produced on a regular basis.

The Quality Policy of the company is to ensure that products and processes meet with customer and regulatory requirements at all times. We are also committed to meeting the requirements of ISO 9001 & AS9100, and to the philosophy of continuous improvement.
Our Management Review Process provides a framework to establish, review and action quality objectives. These objectives are then cascaded throughout the organisation by department heads, and on company notice boards situated throughout the site. The Quality Policy is reviewed for continuing suitability at every Management Review.
