Meighs and Westleys works closely with the UK’s strategic submarine fleet to help propel our Continuous at Sea Nuclear Deterrent. Alongside this we also work with many marine propulsion manufacturers where anti-seawater corrosion material are required.
Meighs & Westleys supports Spunalloys with the their provision of shaft liners [sleeves], which are used to prevent wear to the ship/submarine’s propulsion shaft, where bearing support is needed or where the shaft is exposed. Without the protection afforded by the liners/sleeves, the shaft would need replacing far more frequently and at significant cost.
