Walter Frank achieves Lloyds Register approval for PRV range

January 2017

Walter Frank was recently awarded a contract to supply 260 pieces of our PRV9i pressure regulating valve for one of the world’s largest semi-submersible crane vessels.

The completed vessel is to be supplied as a joint venture between Sembcorp Marine and Heerema offshore services in Singapore. Due to the nature of the vessel and the strict criteria of the contract, we were obliged to obtain Lloyds approval. We are now pleased to announce that Walter Frank has successfully gained the approval through the hard work and dedication of Stuart Higham, our Technical Director and the Walter Frank team. The castings are to be manufactured at our Newcastle-Under-Lyme division, while machining and final assembly will be completed at the Walter Frank facility in Cleckheaton. The contract is to be completed by March 2017.
