Westley Group are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Rowlands to the Senior Executive Team as Chief Technical Officer, from the 4th September 2023.
Chris, a chartered engineer, is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), and has a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He joins us following a successful career at Wärtsilä, where he led three of their subsidiaries in China, Sweden and latterly the UK for the past twenty plus years.
Chris will initially focus on embedding our growth into the US Naval programmes alongside Nick Cooper, where his knowledge of the global naval markets should prove a significant advantage. Chris’ expertise will enable us to grow and improve our offering into exciting non-Naval areas too.
He will be jumping in at the deep end, attending several important international exhibitions on Westley Group’s behalf, as well as supporting our technical and operational projects around the Group.
