Westley Group rolled out a strategic apprenticeship program, encompassing all of its operating divisions, in 2014. We are proud to say that we now have qualified apprentices adding real value across all sectors of our business – in addition we currently have twenty four apprentices at various stages of training across our divisions, with a further ten apprentices starting in the second half of 2019.
Our recent graduates include apprentices gaining Diplomas in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Operative Fabrication Diplomas and we currently have apprentices studying for an Advanced Level 4 apprenticeship in accountancy which leads to an AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting. Group Apprentices follow a tailored program to cover all the technical roles conducted within their location of choice before deciding on which discipline to specialise in. Programs are available in Business Administration, Quality and Metallurgy, Core making and Moulding, Centrifugal Foundry Operations, Machining and Engineering Maintenance.
In addition to the apprentice programme, we also offer a tailored Graduate or Professional Training Programme and are pleased to have helped a number of our professional staff to obtain the status of Chartered Management Accountant and Chartered Purchasing and Supply.
