Large, non-welded, nickel aluminium bronze sand castings are at the core of our capability. Having recently upgraded our furnace infrastructure, we were pleased to test this new capability with a component which must be made right first time, with the most stringent of acceptance criteria. This static, 15 tonnes, single pour mould for such a large high integrity component, relies heavily on all of our technical expertise and resource.
Pleasingly the results were as the MAGMA simulation predicted, providing yet another example of why our customer can trust us to do difficult things. Unfortunately the component is for a defence application so we are unable to reveal an image.
